An ordinary life....

The Big Sky...

Backblip

The weather forecast was for snow here today but instead it was a beautiful, almost spring day.

After a quick outpatient's appt for me at PRI, D and I headed to Broadslap Farm Coffee shop for lunch.  Delicious food and a warm welcome as usual.

The views from here are spectacular and it's wonderful to know that in a few short months, the surrounding fields (see extra) will be producing their famous Perthshire strawberries and raspberries and we'll be able to buy them (or pick them ourselves if we like :-) when we come here to have breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea.  Not all on the same day I hasten to add.  Although..... ;-))

Back home to a quick meeting with H, the builder, to discuss the layout of the utility room.  Think we've got it sorted.  The guys will start removing the old units and worktop tomorrow.  More mess, but hopefully the last of it.

They guys are also finishing off the decking and other bits and bobs outside.  They were very fortunate with the weather when this job started and (fingers crossed) it looks as though it's being kind to them again as the outside work comes to an end.

Weirdly the thing I am most excited about this week is the skip has gone from the driveway.  The rather full one was taken away last week and I just assumed another would replace it, but so far so good!  Surely a sign that we are coming to the end of the work.

*Bought something for the house in the Coffee shop as we were leaving that sparked a brilliant idea in my head for a wedding anniversary pressie for David (it's not till August but it may take a while to get organised) and sent an enquiring email this evening.  Got a positive reply so it's game on!  I am so excited!  Sorry for being so cryptic but can't say any more at the moment for fear of D sussing what it is!    But at least I know what will be blipped on 3rd August!  :-)))
