Me and Mrs G

The lovely Mrs G has come to stay for the weekend. It's been almost a year since I've seen her so it's fabulous to have her here.
Mr K took the Little Misses swimming as usual and I jumped in the bath for a shorter than normal Saturday morning soak before Mrs G arrived.
After a couple of hours chatting, drinking tea and showing off our new house we prised the Little Misses away from their iPads - ignored their wailing and whinging - and set off with Archie across the fields to Stowe.
It was a beautiful walk, sunny and gorgeous!
We made it to the pub and had a tasty lunch of wraps, chips, ham, egg and chips, chips, beer, lemonade and shandy.
Then the Little Misses, Mr K and Archie went home and Mrs G and I carried on up to Stowe and had a walk around the lake. And then some tea and cake in the cafe!
We got soaked to the skin on the way home as we got caught in a torrential downpour. Since getting a dog I've never spent so much time getting wet and muddy!!!
Home to change, cook dinner for the Little Misses, cook chilli for Mr K and drink tea before heading over to Milton Keynes for dinner and the cinema.
Having walked over seven miles today so Mrs G and I had more than earnt our beef fajita wraps in Chimichanga before heading into the cinema to watch a live broadcast of King Lear from Stratford a film involving more than forty nine but less than fifty one variations of a light black colour.
I think it was called Fifty Shades Duller!!!
