Three in One

Yesterday at Tate Modern I noticed a painting of a queue of people.  I found it strangely disturbing although there was no way of knowing what was at the other end of the queue.

I had just seen a queue waiting for their turn to enter the Hockney exhibition and, they too, had no idea what was ahead of them.  Stunning paintings true, but also such a crush of people that they would hardly see what was in front of them.

I had an idea. I returned and photographed the queue and wandered around until I found someone suitable heading away from me - luckily it was a Tate staff member with the logo on his sweater.

Today I have had a few minutes to follow through with my idea of adding real people into the painting.  I quite like it.
