Tiny Tuesday - Seedling

Off to Wetherby first thing for a few bits from the supermarket. Wandered down to the weir where I snapped a couple of sleeping ducks - see extra.  Home for coffee then out for a walk with Finlay. In the woods there are thousands of these little seedlings..which I think are Himalayan Balsam. So it looks like another bumper year for this pernicious weed.

This particular specimen was growing in some moss on a log and is approximately 4cm from end to end. I thought it would make a good blip for Tiny Tuesday. Thanks to Freyjad for hosting

Home for lunch, then out in the garden to cut the grass, which seems to have shot up this last week. Fortunately the wind has dried it up quite nicely so it wasn't too difficult. Also got three loads of washing dried outside...so the laundry basket is empty and the machine will be free for our daughter to use on Thursday as hers is out of action!
