Row of peas under a cloche

Sowed these peas last November and to my surprise they germinated and grew on over winter protected by the mesh cloche. Now I'm hoping I can nurture them in the spring and prevent pigeons having a feast when I remove the  protection. Spent a couple of hours on the allotment this afternoon clearing the ground for the potatoes, covering the soil with well rotted manure then digging it in. After the warmer weather of recent days March reminded us that it could still be cold so despite digging I was cold, with a cold nose in the gusty wind.

Apart from going to the gym in the morning and going for a haircut, visiting Aldi en route, that was the day. A pretty regular Friday.
