Snowy shroud

The mini beast from the east put an end to our plans to visit a friend in Hampshire for the weekend. Instead we did the usual
Saturday, walking into town, treating ourselves to lunch. The north easterly wind was bitingly cold making your face hurt with icy blasts.

The flowers, daffodils and others who had been basking in the spring like temperatures yesterday were wearing a cloak of snow today - so providing today’s blip.

I spent the afternoon watching Ireland secure a Grand Slam by inevitably beating England at Twickenham. England were poor probably because of that’s how well the Irish played. There were three tries each but a huge gulf between the sides. After such as long winning streak England have hit the buffers hard and will need some serious rebuilding before the next World Cup.

A short break to prepare a dinner we weren’t expecting to have interrupted the rugby for a while until the Wales v France game. I only managed the first half, the rest will have to wait until tomorrow.
