Playas De Papagayo

The consensus was to spend a couple of hours on one of the beaches at Papagayo in The National Park on Lanzarote. We are staying nearby; you can either walk a couple of miles or drive it paying a toll of 3euros to use the long dirt track road. The beaches are probably the best on Lanzarote and would hold their own with some of the best anywhere.

The cliffs make a stunning back-drop and a highly enjoyable walk which is what I did. The weather was slightly overcast but still very pleasant.

The blipfoto shows three of the bays looking down from the cliff. The extra is of the ruin at the top of the cliff which I've enjoyed editing. A lightning strike out to sea saw us head for the cafe but it didn't rain but it did put paid to the visit.

After a drive to a couple of local places for a look around before heading back to watch some Premiership football on my 'android box' I brought with me. We've watched some films in the evenings. Last night was 'Lion' - it started off slow but had a good ending. A true story.
