Whitstable beach huts

An energetic and fun morning getting the stump of the huge Red Robin out of the ground, which we eventually achieved by excavating then cutting all the big roots underground. We now have several bags of Red Robin logs which I suppose will need taking to the tip.

This meant we could now move the greenhouse to its new position and see if we liked it there or needed to buy a smaller leanto type. We're going to give it a go for a season to see what we think! This left the space ready for the studio which unfortunately is not any closer to arriving; mainly becuase we keep changing our minds and the supliers are tardy in keeping in touch.

Then the fun bit: burning loads of wood that had accumulated behind the greenhouse, the garden shed and repairs to the shed in a massive inferno constrained to an incinerator.

A different destination called for our walk today; Whitstable for our first visit this year. We walked the wrong way first with the wind behind us having to pay for it on the way back into the teeth of a half gale. The sun came out a little towards the end of the walk, coating the beach and the huts in a golden light. I know it was Derelict Sunday and that was my intention but this shot won the day.
