NEVER GIVE UP HOPE

Had a very sleepless and disturbed night.  Lots of little niggles - painful leg ulcer, tummy pains ( IBS? ) sore kneess ( due to fitness class ? ).  Took ages to fall asleep and then only slept for a couple of hours at a time.  Eventually got up around 12 noon.  Actually don't feel too bad but I think an early night might be a good idea.

Had an appointment with the nurse at the health centre at 4pm about my leg ulcer. It was a nurse I had seen before about the ulcer and at that time she said she had no experience of leg ulcers and called in someone senior.  So I was a bit disappointed to be seeing her today.  Anyway she took a look and measured my leg for a compression stocking.  I have to go back next week.  I asked for a Friday appointment instead of Tuesday - hopefully a different nurse will be on duty.

Did a bit of shopping after my appointment and spotted this poster in the newsagents window.  So whats it all about...............

Around 17 months ago on 12th October 2015 a little Jack Russell terrier called Buddy was stolen from his garden in Swalwell ( which is a village nearby ) At that time his owners posted the details on the local residents Facebook page and the Pets Lost and Found Page as well as posters all around on lampposts etc.  Lots of publicity but Buddy was never found.  However the owners never gave up hope. They frequently updated Facebook to remind people Buddy was till missing and a reward was offered.  And yesterday I saw on Facebook that Buddy had been found.  Facebook just went mad with everyone was  delighted with the news.  Today the owner has updated with the news that Buddy was found with a lady in Newcastle who had owned him for 8 months without knowing he was stolen.  She had bought him from someone as he was being badly treated.  The police are dealing with the case. Lovely to hear good news like this about a lost/stolen pet.
