A walk in the woods

I do love a nice relaxing weekend, and this one has started well :-)

This is a shot from Cathy and my walk this morning.  It really was a lovely spring day, we saw a wide variety of bird life and even some yellow (unknown variety) of butterflies.  This friendly robin did not seem to worried by us at all and happily serenaded us from his broken branch as we walked past.  Strictly, I suspect he was serenading potential Mrs robin, it is definitely that time of year.

The mandarin duck has been visiting us with the mallards all week, however, exotic as he is, I didn't want to re-blip him again so soon.  

Don't forget to move your clocks on an hour in the UK tonight, as we move into summer time tomorrow (and loose an hour's sleep tonight as a result) It is also Mother's Day tomorrow, fortunately both James and Jess have sent Cathy a card, so all will be well in the morning ;-)
