Flowers! Lots of Flowers!

Dear Diary,

Off to St. Paul today to go to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory.  It was a beautiful blue sky day with mild temperatures.  I just wanted to see the flowers and oh what a display.  There was a fern house and a tropical rain forest exhibit (unfortunately, the sloth wasn't there!) and a rich smell of earth and flowers.  Heavenly to this winter weary soul.

We also visited the Japanese garden given to St Paul by the Japanese city of Nagasaki, they are sister cities.  I visited Nagasaki in 2007 so 10 years later I am in her sister city!  Needless to say it was "out of season" but the landscape was still wonderful to walk through.

Our final destination in Como Park was the Global Harmony Labyrinth which we walked.  It is unlike any labyrinth I've ever seen.  We finished our day at Cake Walk purchasing two of their "to die for" gourmet cupcakes, our after dinner treat!

(Lots of "extras" today!)
