Derelict Sunday : : Farmhouse

An empty farmhouse
showing signs of life and hope
before surrender....

The road from Penngrove to Santa Rosa passes many derelict buildings...barns, chicken coops, outbuildings and houses. This house was looking rather pretty with blooming wisteria and lilac, and grass growing out of the gutter. A climbing rose has taken over the porch and is just about to burst into exuberant bloom. 

Somebody has made an effort to prop up the porch and board up a window, but it seems that they have given up (or should it be into) the ghost. Outside of the rampant flowers, the only sign of life was a dog barking next door as I snooped around with my camera.
