Tulips under the watchful eyes of the old tree

Weather continues to be very good with warm sunshine and clear skies. Out to the gym first thing then out to what is becoming a regular Friday trip to the garden centre where Skinners Sheds are based to finalise and sign the order for Susan's studio. We think we've got it right now. Delivery is 16th May and completion by the end of May after I've painted it and it's been insulated and wired for power.

Talking of paint, a huge box arrived this morning full of tins of paint for the studio. We didn't have time to look at it before we went out, which is a shame as one of the tins is the wrong colour and we could have mentioned that when we went to Skinners. Of course, we had lunch, coffee and shared a scone while we were at the garden centre. It would be rude not to.

I spent a pleasant afternoon on mostly outside jobs; putting together a mini greenhouse for inside the main greenhouse, assembling a paraffin heater for the greenhouse (that's why I was buying paraffin yesterday) weed and feeding the grass and putting together a flatpack bookcase for under the stairs. Susan was upstairs painting.

I tried to take some close-ups of these wonderfully vivid tulips but every shot was washed out. Thanks to Technophobe for advising me to underexpose next time. I'll have another go before it's too late
