Chicken curry and chickpea rice

We had a very special dinner tonight - made by G to my father's recipe. Today marks six years that a reckless drive killed him in a hit and run. This meal was one that he often made for us when we were extremely busy. G has nailed the recipe. :)

And earlier, I made lunch and met up with G to sit and eat it on the beach. She had a bit of free time. A nice paced day with time to take everything in. It is getting very hot here. I doubt we'll have a return to a cool day for months to come. :(
