Steep Hill, Lincoln (going down)

We were up a bit earlier than yesterday. It was blowy, but no rain. After breakfast Daniel had a look at train times. We had already decided that the trains on Sunday were too sporadic to ensure he got home safely, so we planned the day around him catching one today at 4ish.

We drove in to Lincoln and parked up near the cathedral. A slow wander in through all the old streets brought us in at the back of the cathedral. There we found a cafe in a cellar where we had our coffee break. More wandering in a busy city, we came down Steep Hill where I took this photo. What is so impressive about Lincoln is how prominent the cathedral is. You can see it from wherever you are in the city it seems.(but behind me as I took this!)

More walking, chatting, window shopping and a burger. At around 3pm we were killing time, so Dan checked times. We walked to Lincoln railway station, and said our goodbyes to Dan at 3.15. The 3.26 will hopefully get him home by 8pm. It will probably be July when we see him next.

Then we enjoyed the walk back through the city and up Steep Hill again. I think that's it for a few more months! If you haven't been before, you must visit Lincoln. It's like Norwich but with a hill in the middle!

Now I'm blipping in the car park, before we drive back to the caravan. Then home tomorrow. A lovely break, with a fully tested caravan!
