WE'VE MISSED THE SEA!

It was great to see the sea again today and we realise how much we have missed it.

Some of you will probably remember that we used to come down to Honeycombe Beach (hence my name!) to our son and daughter-in- law's apartment and we enjoyed many holidays there - although we never felt it was a holiday, just a home -from-home and we just used to move our "living" from Swindon to Boscombe on a regular basis.

They sold the apartment a couple of years ago and bought a house further along on the cliff top and after many months of renovation, it is now almost complete. We were invited down to see it today and it looks wonderful.

This is the view from their garden looking towards Hengistbury Head and what a view! There is still a nip in the air, however, so there weren't as many people on the beach as I thought there would be and we decided it was a little cool to go for a swim.

Dawn and I have emptied about 8 boxes that we had stored in our garage at home and washed all the crockery and glasses, so everything is now looking more shipshape. Mr. HCB and Martyn are now trying to work out how the underfloor heating works - but I think that will take longer than it took us to sort out the boxes! But then, women always work quicker than men!!

Smell the sea and
feel the sky -
let your soul
and spirit fly.

PS. Thank you for all your kind comments, stars and hearts for the last couple of days - it's been rather busy so I apologise for not responding.
