Sycamore Leaves

Another early, very chilly walk with Finlay this morning - not quite as cold as yesterday, only a little bit of frost about.

The sun was just beginning to fade when I took this shot of some new sycamore leaves and blossom emerging. The soft light was just catching it nicely. Five minutes later the sun was gone behind cloud.

After breakfast I set about defrosting the freezer - first making a large ‘coolbox’ for the food using some reflective ‘bubble wrap’ insulator and a large cardboard box.

I used my steam machine which is great because the jet just cuts through the ice without having to wait for it to melt.

Food repacked back in the freezer and then a trip put to buy something to go with some left over roast pork for tea! A stir fry beckons….
