Looking towards Hoy

This was taken towards the end of the afternoon. We spent all morning on the cliffs at Yesnaby and I worked hard to photograph the Castle there. It's a cliff stack and very dramatic. The rapidly changing light and the high winds provided quite a challenge.

We also visited Skara Brae to see the Neolithic Village and then came to this beach near Stromness for the late afternoon light. This shot is looking to Hoy from the beach. Soon afterwards the Scrabster ferry came by, riding the heavy swell.

I was SO tired last night that I kept dozing off after dinner and I did not complete my packing - hence the back blip. I think it's worth looking at the detail large.
