Bee in the buttercup

Best viewed *larger*

Not a great day for photos, sunny, yet hardly anything about, too windy & light just too milky! You're asking surely this is a rose & not a buttercup? Well it's a David Austin rose called 'Buttercup' planted for my mum on her 70th Birthday on the 2nd June, the one she missed by mere weeks. It's doing so well, loved by insects, esp hover flies & today, loved by a bee & this bee. A yellow rose as it was the rose colour of choice my dad would buy for her every Wedding Anniversary & there's been 45 years of those, so now, she has a bush of yellow roses every single day. I miss her so much. x

As for Larry - wooooop!

The comeback kid

I'm so tired still. Yet I managed a bit of work - yeah, work & a bit of pleasure, yeah, gardening. The weather, oh dear, but it's still got a chance to blossom again into warmth, still early for an Indian Summer, as it's actually still officially Summer until around the 21st of this month! :) xxx
