A great night out

A busy day. First an early start and off to the Puffin Pool, much needed after not being able to go the last few weeks. A quick look and wander at Ferry Point, the black headed gulls sitting firmly on the nests at the top of the wooden poles. Garden Centre to pick up some more sunflower seeds and bacon rolls for Mike and myself. On to Strathpeffer to get rolls for lunch from the deli and the on to Brahan Estate to look at the bluebells , rhodies and azaleas. Some in bloom but lots more to come out. We had a walk through the bluebells, the smell of all the flowers was really intense.
Home and then to Inverness for a gig in the Northern Meeting Park. I was abit worried as was nt sure if we would be able to park nearby and I did nt fancy a long walk as my legs and feet have been hurting and also the possibility of standing for 6 hours was putting me off. So glad it all worked out really well as we parked a stones throw away from the venue and there was seating in the Old Pavilion, the first one built in 1864 'as the worlds first Highland games stadium. So we just went to the front of the stage when the bands were on. We saw Raging Fyah a band from Jamaica , The original Wailers featuring Al Anderson, Level 42 and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell,Astro and Mickey Virtue ( the other band members are in another group so I believe there's some controversy going on about the band name ).Brilliant though with blasts from the past. Great music and we had a good view, everyone was bobbing away .
A late night but we were in the car and on our way home in no time at all.

Not easy to get a clear photo but I liked the colours in this one :)
