Day 12: Garybuie to Sligachan

Fortified with porridge full of fruit, cream and honey and homemade fruit bread, we left Chris and Kevin's B & B in the lea of the Trotternish Hills this morning and turned South, destination Sligachan. The cloud cover was down but we stayed dry cycling across the island to Portree and stopped for cuppas and cake at the Aros Centre.

The rain arrived so we tarried awhile over a second cuppa and then it was back on the road to Sligachan. We were a couple of hours early for checking in at the Lodge so we retired to Seumas' Bar for lunch (celeriac & cumin soup for me, haggis Bon bons and clapshot for Tony).

The Lodge is very nice indeed with views of mountains out of both of our room windows. And we have a BATH!

Washed and in to our least smelly clothes (!) we have returned to Seumas' Bar for dinner and now we are relaxing before our final day of pedalling tomorrow.

My blip is of Sgurr nan Gillien and Am Bhasteir taken en route to the bar, arty fartily framed by the Sligachan Bridge!
