I drove back from Wales yesterday with a stressed back, the crummy mattress in the hut had not improved it one iota and the three hour plus drive didn't either!  I'd been struggling to identify when the damage to it had occurred and eventually came to the conclusion that it was down to me lifting 4 x 15 litres of paint about two weeks ago.

When I went to the physio earlier he said that the paint may well have been the straw, but there would have been contributory stress prior to that... and maybe that was Majorca, carrying a heavy rucksack with 70m rope for quite a distance at times, coupled with nowhere near enough stretching and not enough water.  Anyway, as usual the visit to the sadist physio was magic and I now have a selection of stretches and a good dose of common sense to work with.  As luck (not that I believe in it) would have it, I'd made an appointment with the resident back specialist  :-)
