Vine Weevil

Not a pretty picture for today's TT challenge but this beetle presented itself and so I blipped it.  I found it early this morning and carefully place it on a white background and tried not to disturb it too much while I took several shots. I then took it outside and placed it on a large leaf by the front door, and then went to Google it to see what it was.  I found out it was a Vine Weevil and a great garden pest - if I'd known that before looking after it so carefully who knows, I might have dealt with it very differently.

As regards the appalling  terrorist attack in Manchester I just want  to say that my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
