Rhododendron

Here's the 23 May blip, but now fully open. This is another plant that insists on being the centre of attention for a week or two before it takes backstage again. It's usually so heavy with flowers that it almost seems to be overdoing it, although last year it was pruned back quite hard, so it's more restrained this time around. Normal, extravagant service will be resumed next year I imagine. It's also fairly pot-bound so we may have to face the task of getting it out and repotting, although the existing pot is very large and it may take a bit of a search to find something any bigger. It could be quite a job...
