Foxglove

Dynamic monochrome again. Now that I've found it...

This foxglove is nearly pure white, so the higher contrast accentuates that. We started out with all white foxgloves from a sowing some years ago, and now they self-seed, but are gradually being infiltrated by mauve genes, so we might need to start again soon with fresh seed to restore the white stock. Later on the more sophisticated digitalis ferruginea will flower. It self-seeds too, but so far seems to hold its colour, which, if I remember it accurately, will be yellow ochre with touches of raw sienna.
