Rome Airport yesterday

I think our hotel receptionist was over anxious about getting us to the airport on time for our flight and rebooked our driver for an hour earlier that was originally scheduled.  We set off just after 7am and were at the airport for 9am - as it was Sunday there wasn't too much traffic.  Our check-in time was 12.30 so we had quite a wait.  Fortunately we found these upstairs tables which was a much more pleasant place to sit than downstairs in the `shopping mall'.  Ann decided she could add a few words to her ever growing novel and I was just about to set off and find us a drink and a bit of something to eat.  

Steve picked us up at Leeds Bradford Airport, so we had the luxury of being driven at both ends of our flight and the flight in between was good.  Now we're home and it's raining!
