Insect Porn

Another Blipper was accused of photographing insect porn had photographed many mating insects last year. I found myself in this voyeuristic pursuit this afternoon by the lake when trying to capture dragonflies. This damselfly pair were motionless and oblivious to my lens creeping closer to them. Well, they were motionless but the stiff breeze was tossing the leaf around on which they were sitting. I managed a few clear shots between gusts.
There were many fabulous entries for MM177 - My Best friend - and some clever interpretations. As well as the obvious -  partners, family members, friends, cats and dogs- there were quite a few cameras, sports articles, books, electrical and technological items, for example.  As usual, it is very hard to choose favourites but my MM hearts go to:
