BUSY BEE

Spent the day at home today.  Haven't done much at all.  Had a list of " chores " but not many have been crossed off.

Yesterday as I was coming home from the village through the allotments I spotted a schoolboy's travel card on the ground.  Went on the local residents Facebook page to try and find the owner.  The lad's sister got in touch and she came round this afternoon to pick it up.

I have booked train tickets to Sussex to spend a few days with Becky and Mike in August.  They have all sorts of plans including ( hopefully ) a visit to The Bluebell Railway.  I have always wanted to go there and now that they live in Sussex it's on the cards.

Because I have this trip booked I needed to arrange for someone to call in and feed the cats etc.  So someone is coming next week for a " consultation".  In the past Neil has sometimes been able to do it but he doesn't live nearby and he has long shifts at work - so a cat sitter it's got to be.

The weather has been dull and cooler for most of the day but around 5pm it suddenly got warmer and the sunshine returned.

Becky got in touch - she had to be sent home from work.  There is no air conditioning in her office and it was hot and stuffy so she felt faint.  Of course to get home she had a long train journey but luckily it was lovely and cool on the train.  She is feeling much better now that she is home.

The Tiny Tuesday challenge hosted by isbi  is " Fauna".  So here is a bee.  I'm not too good as taking shots of insects as I have difficulty focusing on them when they move around so much.  This shot is the best of the bunch.

Steps today - 2,986 ( pathetic)
