Another anchorage

Very different from yesterday's busy Newhaven Harbour, complete with muddy water, noisy dredger and the surrounding buildings - houses, bistros, pubs, a hotel, restaurants - a view of Loch Striven this afternoon. The westerly wind had quietened, the sky was clearing, the rain that shrouded the hills further inland had mercifully stayed put and not chased us down the road. Two yachts are anchored just off the beach in front of what used to be Inverchaolain Schoolhouse, and in the distance the hills of Arran have lost the cap of cloud that earlier adorned their summits.

A different view; a different life.
