An ordinary life....

Family Night...

Such a busy day!

Tesco delivery this morning then was picked up by my friend Janice and we headed to Gloagburn to meet our other friend Fiona for lunch.

The rain was torrential and it was so cold (our heating has been back on for about four days) so we weren't surprised to see the car park full and a queue like an execution waiting for tables.   Thankfully the queue moved quickly and it wasn't long before we were shown to a table.

Had lovely couple of hours catching up before Janice dropped me off at home again.  It was still raining!  David had to cancel his golf so you can imagine how cheery he was.

Kirsten isn't well so wasn't able to do her shift this evening and no one else was available to cover so it's just been the three of us this evening.

After dinner Alan decided he wanted to come and sit in the garden room with us (unheard off!) and we've had a lovely evening full of laughter and crazy conversations.   He also insisted we watch his choice of telly channel, which was MTV.  Oh joy!

Alan and I we were mid conversation and I had his full attention then some song video came on full of very pretty young things in swim suits.  As you can see from my blip, his attention was immediately transferred to the tv!

We've had such a lovely evening, I'm going to suggest to David that we should perhaps do this on a more regular basis and a not have a support worker come in maybe one night a week, so it's just us for a change.   Will run that suggestion past Alan too although I suspect he'll not be quite as keen to do it as regularly as I might suggest :-))
