Rebuilding

Not much happening today - up relatively late at 7.30 a.m. After breakfast I sorted out Mum's mobile (entailing a lengthy phone call to an ultra-polite Orange operator somewhere in India), and found that it picks up a more reliable signal by manually selecting the T-Mobile network rather than leaving it to automatically select a network itself. Who says technology works logically?? Orange and T-Mobile are both owned by EE now, so it makes no difference which network is used by an Orange PAYG customer.

Having got lunch out of the way, I checked my accounts (stocks & shares ISA slowly going back down in value, probably in direct inverse proportion to the ever-increasing mess this country is in). A far more enjoyable task was potting the pink geraniums along the front of the house - a job I should have done a while back, as they were getting a bit potbound in their original containers. Dead willow tree in the background of the photo, not sure if it's on our land or the council's. Must check it out, as the tree needs to come down before the autumn for everyone's safety. Another job to add to the To Do list :-(

And that's it for the day.
