Wedding Ceilidh

An early morning with lots on, so I was in Morrisons about 8.30 and home within the hour. Potato salad made for the bring and share wedding reception, and Mollie made a pasta salad for the family gathering tomorrow. Jon took Henry in to Sheringham to get his hair cut. Even getting there well before opening, there were still 2 in front of him.

We gathered for coffee and cake mis morning, then showered and dressed ready for the evening. As Daniel's coach was arriving in Cambridge at 5 (which ended up early at nearer 4) we set off at 1.30.

An hour with Gibbs family who are kindly accommodating all five of us tonight, then we headed to Haslingfield for the evening to celebrate Alan and Laura's wedding. Alan had been one of Jon's rangers at Wandlebury. It was the first time I had met their 20 month old twins David and Jessica. Such a perfect little family.

We enjoyed a long overdue catch up with Nick and Claire, and a bit of dancing. There was an amazing array of food; by far the best reception I've been to. Mountains of everything, and all made and brought by the guests.

Home to Melbourn now, where we have sleeping bags and various mattresses waiting! Congratulations Alan and Laura on their marriage today, and best wishes for a long and happy life together.
