Frog after cake

Little remained of the birthday cake when "Frog" landed on the table to investigate. Why frog? That was what Mr H and Young L agreed I had created out of the packaging from the photo frames they gave me this afternoon. Frog even distracted them from creating havoc with some whirlygig toy Young L had brought with him; briefly.

Earlier S and daughter J and I had gone to the Auckland Museumto see the exhibition of finalists and winners in the annual National Geographic nature photography competition. Many wonderful photos, and well worth seeing. After reading the lengths to which some of the photographers went in order to get the photo, I am content with capturing much less dramatic scenes.

Late lunch at Galbraiths, amidst many of the touring Lions supporters. A draw last night was a little deflating, although when one thinks that it took four countries combining to (almost) match the New Zealand All Blacks, perhaps the ABs did okay.

After the cake and presents, we had a game of Mah Jong. My winning board in one of the rounds is the extra for today
