Irvine

It has been fun to play bingo and watching the dancing last night. We talked about where we live and where in the Netherlands the others had been to on holiday. One of the women knew Valkenburg and the caves. She must be one of the few people who are saying Netherlands is flat. No no no, she said, what you call hills in your country are just bumps.

It was raining when we awoke, but we packed our bags anyway. With the sunny and warm day of yesterday still in our minds, we expected it not to last for long. We were soaked when we arrived at the Robert Burns museum in Ayr. Our rainwear could be hanged to dry in a room unlocked especially for us, while we discovered the museum.
In the museum restaurant, Bert booked a hotel for the next night.
We are spoiling ourselves.
