Another photo of another flower with another bee

Slow news day on the blip front. This rather unkempt municipal bed of unknown flowers in Mote Park was a magnet for bees. It was abuzzing with them.

A good morning at the allotment, picking soft fruit, more beans and courgettes, potatoes, beetroot and lettuce. The soil was moist following the recent rain and very warm. Just right for weeds.

Walked into town this afternoon for an appointment with the bank, had a cup of tea afterwards, then walked home. Courgette risotto for tea. Have to use these prolific vegetables up somehow. I see they're 38p in a well-known supermarket. Same price all the year around.

The evening was occupied sorting through blackcurrants and topping and tailing red gooseberries. Now have 6 lbs of blackcurrants in the freezer and 3 lbs of gooseberries.
