Warming

Yum yum yum :] It may look bland but this shepherd's pie was just right for a damp & grey September evening! Even better because it was actually made on Monday, portioned and frozen so all it took tonight was a zap in the microwave and the addition of sweetcorn and cheese :] Tasty, cosy placement food!

Today has been a really good day with seeing several patients one after the other without lots of office time :] Had a particularly lovely session in the afternoon with the TI doing a cooking session with one of the patients - scones! Not only did I get an insight into where I think I might be going wrong with previous scone making attempts but it was interesting to hear stories about life during WWII. There is so much we take for granted . It was nice to be able to see somebody doing something they used to really enjoy and perhaps haven't had a chance to do recently :]

Of course, sampling the product was really difficult....but someone had to do it ;]

Still feel like I have so, so much to learn and in a way it is a little overwhelming. Thankfully it's all incredibly interesting and the team are very supportive :]
