Crazy House, Dalat, Vietnam

Day 22

Crazy House is a guesthouse, created by architect Dr Dang Viet Nga. Quite a place, reminded me of Gaudi's creations. Lots of tunnels, stairways, tree houses. You can end up in the roof of one of the buildings. I loved this place.

Earlier in the day, we took the cable car to Thien Vien Truc Lam, a Zen monastery. Beautiful gardens, with monks tending these.

A visit to Datanla Falls, not far out of town. Two dramatic cascades. Very steep steps down, most of us opted for the luge to go back up.

We also took a jeep up to the highest point in the area. Langbiang, 2169 metres. Very steep road to the summit. A brief view of stunning countryside, then the clouds rolled in.

The weather got worse, and we are now in the midst of a tropical storm. The roads are like rivers. Paths and steps like waterfalls.

Delicious dinner tonight, including frogs legs, calamari, artichokes, beef, beans, eggplant with minced pork, and local homemade yoghurt.

Artichoke Tea is a thing here. Had a sip, not to my taste.
