Mushroom!

I think its Tuesday today, and that means it is tiny Tuesday so here is a tiny mushroom growing in the grass after the recent rain we have had. I have not really looked at the garden much but there are so many weeds and snails and ugly plants....I went inside before I got all wound up about it, that will be a project for a later stage.

Thomas and I went to the waste disposal site this morning, as we have done much purging of our stuff - I really don't need 20 single sheets and manky old pillows from 25 years ago, so into the waste skip they went. That is the good thing about a move, it makes you realise that you are hoarding things you will never use - unless its a favourite item of clothing of course, never mind that it is from 20 years ago it is still a beautiful item of clothing (Gavin shakes his head in despair!) Our local waste disposal site is rather sophisticated  and even has a shop now, so many of the better things went to the shop for resale.

Off to a good start with one of the neighbours...er, actually not! She popped her head over the fence (she had to wade through some serious shrubbery to do so, you cannot even see her house from ours due to the thickly growing trees and shrubs) - to complain about all the golf balls that have been hit into her property, and despite telling her it was not us, we have only just arrived she would not believe us. Murdoch of course was barking as he got a bit of a fright at this person suddenly appearing at the fence amongst all the greenery, so she complained about how noisy he was. I suspect the culprits were the boys next door...we haven't even unpacked the golf clubs yet.

Tomorrow life should be getting back to normal, the move is over and just the study boxes left to unpack (so many files and books) and of course Gavin's shed contents but that is a job for him. I must say Thomas has been a little superstar in the move, all of a sudden becoming a DIY expert - its the 'engineer' in him but he has always enjoyed fixing things so he has changed plugs on the lights for me and assembled things we have ordered that came in parts, even some quite tricky things. Not so good at unpacking boxes but you can't have everything....
