Common Enchantments

River things

Yesterday morning I walked with a friend at the riverwalk in Columbia to get some practice using the new Canon SX60.  I forgot the tripod..old age brain.  The live view composing is very hard to get used to working with since I have never really taken photos with a point and shoot other than my phone.   It seems to work okay up to the 500mm zoom being handheld as there is a little button on the side that will stabilize the frame after I press the shutter halfway down to focus.   But the extended digital zoom just jumps all over the place every time I breath.  So another trip to test that out with the tripod and possibly the remote I have.   This camera is very sensitive.

But I know that I will enjoy taking it on longer hikes so that I won't have to carry any extra lenses.   Usually when I hike, I end up needing one of the other lenses besides the one I put on the camera.

I would have posted one of these photos yesterday but I had to get that tiny piece of chocolate posted for Tiny Tuesday.

I think this might be okay for WildWednesday.
