Fading grandeur

I'm in a rush to cook supper for our guest, so will write more later.

Meanwhile, here is one of the last shots I took at Gloucester old docks, after a long stroll exploring areas I hadn't visited before.

The sun was beginning to be shrouded at odd moments by the imminent cloud cover which will precede the predicted autumn storm due tomorrow.

I love these industrial buildings and their grand scale that still hint at the importance and the large size of the business that must have been conducted in the docks' heyday, probably in late Victorian times..
