Growing like weeds....

...... there are so many of these Poppies in the garden and although we consider them a weed of sorts,  they're the only thing Jack is happy to leave and let flourish.  They give us a lovely display and they appear all over the place;  they come in orange and yellow, but it would be a real bonus if there were red ones too.

This has been a hurried blip as I've been down to Solihull with Joanne today as we were meeting up with Caroline;  it was a lovely surprise when she brought along Oliver too, although being school holidays we should have expected it. We don't have long together when we do these trips as we have 5 hours travelling time in all, so there's usually time for coffee, shops, lunch, coffee and then we're on our way home again. We do these trips 3 or 4 times during the better weather as otherwise the time between seeing each other would just seems to stretch on and on.  Perhaps we'll  manage to arrange another one before winter.
