The Big Crane

Yesterday I did all the usual Saturday stuff, including catching up on all the televised Rugby League I missed. 

In doing all that I hadn't managed to find a blip, so I took my camera when we went out for a few drinks later in the evening. We headed uphill via the Arboretum and I noticed the huge crane which is here to remove an old railway bridge and fit a new one due to modern trains being heavier than they were in 1848 when the old one was fitted! 

After a couple of drinks in town we went back to end the evening in The Birdcage, our local. They had a very good local rock band playing in there, and it was a good way to round off the night.

Or it would have been if it ended there...tbc...
