Hardcore K's

Mrs L came over today with Miss M and Mr T. The forecast was a bit rubbish but Miss E pointed out again that we're K's and we're hardcore and a little bit of rain won't put us off.
Toyota came to pick my car up for a service just before 11am and then we headed over to the rugby club to meet the others for our walk.
At first it was lovely and sunny and the Little Misses were whining about having to have their coats on.
And then whinged about having their coats tied round their waists because mean Mummy refused to carry them!
Then of course the heavens opened and it started blowing up a freezing gale!
We sheltered under trees for a bit and then decided to brave it and carry on to the pub for lunch.
Miss E was a bit fixated on how hardcore she was and refused to put her coat on. Idiot child!!!
Annoyingly as we stumbled through the rain and gales and got to the pub I remembered that dogs were only allowed outside. I went into the empty pub and asked the woman if it was possible to bring Archie in so we could all have lunch. And drinks.
All four of us.
Lots of lunch and lots of drinks.
In the empty pub.
Nope.
Annoying!!!
The kids bought some crisps and then we headed back through the rain and gales across the muddy fields to my house.
Our cupboards are fairly bare at the moment so Little Misses made pancake batter while I defrosted some bolognese for Mrs L and me. Once we'd eaten that and warmed up a bit the Little Misses and Mr T "helped" me make the pancakes. Not an overwhelming culinary triumph but they were happy!
After they'd gone we snuggled up on the sofa and watched Beauty and the Beast.
