Crash

I fell to Earth with a crash today.

Lots of work piled up on Monday and Tuesday. Some bad words were used.

I’ve got a bit of experience under my belt now, but I still get “firsts” occasionally. Today was the first time a client instructed me to quote Matthew 18:15 in a reply to other lawyers about a commercial dispute. To be honest, the Gospel isn’t one of my specialist subjects.

Will it work? Will we end up in court arguing about it?

On a more positive note, one of the Blippers I follow is author Peter May. His event at the Book Festival yesterday would have been my 1st choice. Anyway, compare his Blip yesterday  (link below) to mine yesterday.

After I’d done my Blip last night I had a call from one of my cousins. He asked if it was my photograph he’d seen featured in The National’s “Photo of the Day” last week. It was, but until his call I didn’t know they’d published it!

I often buy The National, but not every day.

It was one of my Blips too.

Obviously they don’t pay me for using it, but it’s nice anyway. 

Today’s Blip? I was sitting in the Harbour Bistro after lunch enjoying my coffee and pondering the gloomy weather when this orange Mini appeared on the centre pier.

Boat owners do drive onto the piers, but very soon it became clear the driver had made a mistake while looking for the carpark. It was quite fun watching the driver trying to turn around in a very tight space without ending up in the mud of the harbour basin! She was stressed...
