Ice Cream Is Important!

Today was a bit more of a chillax day but we did have two important outings.

It was a beautifully sunny day and lots of rain is forecasted for tomorrow, so I put in a request to go walk in the nearby oak meadows again. We have not been back there since the day after we arrived. We've avoided it a bit as that was where Dolly started having her seizures not quite 2 weeks ago. It was an important step to take and I was ready for it and I was glad to be able to go and remember Dolly and the lovely photos we got of her before she became ill. I very much wanted this to be a happy visit and it was. The oak meadows are part of a large nature reserve very close to Elisabet's home and I hope I can enjoy some more time there on this visit. It will always be a special place. (See the extra photos)

The other outing involved ice-cream! In case you hadn't noticed, we all love ice-cream! There is a farm not far away that makes their own ice-cream and sells it - both to take home AND to enjoy there. Alice had blipped a visit there back in June (see here), and so I put in a request that we go there while I'm here.

It was a lovely simple outing. A pretty drive to the farm and a nice afternoon to sit outside (in a BOAT!) and enjoy two scoops each. Of course we each got 2 spoons each so that we could share with Alice, and we made sure we chose poodle-friendly favours. Alice is seen here peeking over the side of the boat, begging to be allowed in. We all agreed that the ice-cream was delicious! And two tubs were purchased to take home.

See Alice's version of today here.
