Back To The Country

It was time for another visit to E&A's Summer House for a couple of days. There was mowing to be done and Elisabet needed to check up on some building work/repairs that are taking place. We had a slow morning before we left, made a couple of stops on the way, and arrived in the early afternoon. We decided to have lunch at the nearby camping site where there is a nice restaurant that serves the classic Swedish shrimp and egg sandwich (räkmacka). I had it with a gooseberry fizzy drink - I don't think I've ever seen any type of gooseberry drink anywhere else, but it was delicious. As was the sandwich of course!

When we got back to the Summer House I busied myself with picking up fallen apples so that Elisabet could mow. Later on we ate outside and enjoyed not only the pretty sunset but the beauty of a freshly cut lawn. There's more to do tomorrow but a great deal of it got done this afternoon.

Alice doesn't like the mower and tried to attack it a couple of times. She's very polite at the table, though. This view is of her very best 'please'. How in the world could we resist?
