Miss L and the Barn Owl

Bank Holiday Monday and it was boiling hot and glorious!! Woohoo!!!
We pottered around in the morning - finishing up the bookshelves, painting tester squares on the walls of the spare room, flattening cardboard boxes and having a lovely long bath!
After lunch we headed over to Winslow for the annual Winslow Show. It's a lovely, small, old fashioned country show with vintage fairground rides, classic cars and tractors, sheep, cake tent, dog show, BBQ, tombola (Miss E won a giant packet of shortbread, good work!!), book stalls, plant stalls, chutney stalls, owls to hold, guns to shoot (see extras!), guinea pigs and giant millipedes to pet! And so much more!!!
I love it there!
And the gorgeous sunshine helped!
As we were getting ice creams before leaving we bumped into Miss E's friend, Miss G, from her old school. They were so pleased to see each other - both talk about each other often!
I still see Miss G's mum when I'm at school with Miss L so we've said we'll arrange a get together for them once they're back at school.
Naturally they exchanged details and Facetimed each other almost as soon as we got back!!!!
Mr K made a start on wallpapering Miss E's room once we were home. Before we moved in she chose the paint for her room and study and Mr K did a fabulous job of painting them - with crappy Valspar paint! He painted all the walls except one which was going to have the cloud wallpaper she'd chosen on it. I'd bought the wallpaper!
Since that day the wall has been white with five squares of blue tester pot paint. Eleven months!!!!
But today was the day! Mr K put the wallpaper up!!!!
It's looking fantastic! Can't wait to see it in daylight tomorrow.
Bank Holiday dinner was pitta breads, chicken, salad, cucumber, humous, olives, cheese and tomatoes. Out in the garden!
I wish Summer could go on forever!!
