Beans...

...from the allotment!

Just to keep you up to date, we had a lovely evening at the End of the Pier show last night - and even got a shout out from the compere Phil (Mollie had arranged it, he then said 'are you Mollies's parents - such a lovely girl')!

Today we started the weekend with a walk through Sheringham market, then coffee in the sun. A few bits purchased in the town then home. I had a mountain of French beans to prepare and freeze. The giant ones that grew while we were n holiday are too far gone, but I picked lots more this afternoon. Jon, meanwhile, painted the second wall in our bedroom (the first was done in about June!) I quickly cycled up to the allotment to check on the chickens, and picked more beans as you can see! So cycled back home to get on with them. After two batches of beans sliced and blanched I took Mollie to buy a big pile of kitchen essentials for Uni. Exciting times. Then home, where we ordered a big Chinese takeaway as we are all together today and it's Daniel's birthday on Wednesday. When Mollie and Dan went to collect it, they said 'You're for the big order?' We ate it all!

We are now having a half time interval, watching a film on Netflix (which I still don't understand!) about the BP oil rig disaster. It is very exciting - but we've had to stop as Jon has to get another cos of paint on before we go to bed! Wine and chocolate and all my family...what more could I want on a Saturday evening?!
