Something for everyone!

Our village Horticultural show today and the only thing that let it down was the weather.

I took this shot before church this morning when Chris and I took up our entries which is why it isn't crowded with people, but you can see that the entries are an eclectic mix of a bit of everything. Garden produce, home baking, crafts children's items and photographs about covers everything.

When we went back in the afternoon it was drizzling but there was still a great atmosphere. BD1 band playing (airedaleknitter) and Chris had got a First with his Fuchsia in a six inch pot as grown, so he was very happy. I managed a second this year which I suppose is progress from the two thirds I've had over the last two years. Midgehole Dave and Bezzie Pet were there and he had done very well with his photographic entries as had Wendles56 and Airedale knitter. Well done to them all as well as all entrants whether they won or not. There wouldn't be an event without them!

As things were drawing to a close with the presentation of cups and awards and then the traditional selling off of produce, the heavens opened. I don't envy them taking it all down tonight.

We'll be back next year whatever the weather.

(Oops forgot to mention Wilsden Walker, Corinthian Column Fotojunci and magicat)
