Golden Orb

I set out to do a bit of pruning in the front yard - nothing drastic, just a few snippets off the salvias - but the golden orb stopped me in my tracks. 

Back lit and very beautiful, her web straddled the two branches I was going to cut back.  While I was watching a bit of dead leaf blew into her pristine web.  She was very cross, and scuttled up to dislodge it.  Mission over, she retired back to the middle of the web to await her lunch.
